Asset Library

Asset Library is a special instance of a document library used to store Digital in the form of any text or media. These digital assets like photos, videos and audio files are stored in digital format (Binary Format) and comes with rights to use. With WebCommander, you can only upload image files, audio files and pdf files. Using Asset Library, you can create new image library, rename and remove this library and search an image and add an image to directory. To start accessing your Asset Library, you need to be logged in to your WebCommander account.

Create a New Directory

Directory is a folder that you can create on the Asset Library, which contains other files, and folders in it. You can create a sub-directory under any directory.

1. From dashboard, select ‘Web Content’ and click on ‘Asset Library’ from Web Content menu.

2. Click on ‘Options Menu’ (3-dots ) present on the right-hand side of root-directory (Public) and click on ‘New Directory’ to create a new directory.

3. On clicking ‘New Directory’ option, a pop-up window appear on screen, enter ‘Directory Name’ that you want to create and click on ‘Create’ button at the bottom to create a new Directory.

4. On clicking ‘Create’ the following message, appear on screen ‘Success! Directory has been created successfully’.

Similarly, you can create sub-directories under directories or create multiple sub-directories under directories and you can create directories under root-directories (Public and Template).

Rename a Directory

It is possible to rename an existing directory or sub-directory using rename option.

1. From dashboard, select ‘Web Content’ and click on ‘Asset Library’ from Web Content menu.

2. To rename an existing directory, Click on 3-dots ( ) that are present on the specific directory on left hand side and click on ‘Rename’ to rename the selected directory.

3. On ‘Rename’ pop-up window, enter directory’s ‘New Name’ and click on ‘Rename’ button at the bottom to rename a Directory.

4. On clicking, ‘Rename’ the following message appear on screen ‘Success! Directory has been renamed successfully’.

Move Directory

You can move a sub-directory from one location to another. It is possible to move a sub-directory to another sub-directory or to a main-directory or vice-versa.

1. From dashboard, select ‘Web Content’ and click on ‘Asset Library’ from Web Content menu.

2. To move an existing directory, Click on 3-dots ( ) that are present on the specific directory on left hand side and click on ‘Move’ to move the selected directory.

3. On ‘Move’ pop-up window, enter the name of the directory in the ‘Destination’ field where you want to move the selected directory and click on ‘Move’ button at the bottom to move a Directory.

4. On clicking, ‘Move’ the following message appear on screen ‘Success! Directory has been moved successfully’ and the selected directory is moved to desired location.

Remove Directory

It is possible to remove a directory from the Asset library.

1. From dashboard, select ‘Web Content’ and click on ‘Asset Library’ from Web Content menu.

2. To remove an existing directory, Click on 3-dots ( ) that are present on the specific directory on left hand side and click on ‘Remove’ to remove the selected directory.

3. A ‘Conformation’ pop-up window on screen, click ‘Yes’ to if you are sure about the course of action and want to remove the selected Directory.

4. On clicking, ‘Yes’ on conformation pop-up window, the selected directory is removed and a message on screen ‘Success! Directory has been removed successfully’.

On the Asset Library, there are a few options:

Upload Images

You can upload images into root-directory, directory or sub-directory.

1. From dashboard, select ‘Web Content’ and click on ‘Asset Library’ from Web Content menu.

2. Select any directory to upload images, files or pdf files. For example, select root-directory (Public) and click on ‘Upload’.

3. On the following page, click on ‘Drop Your Files/Click Here To Choose’ and select the files you want to upload to the selected directory.

4. Click on ‘Upload’ to upload the files.

5. On clicking ‘Upload’ button, the file will be uploaded to the page and a message displayed on screen ‘Success! Files has been uploaded successfully’.
