Adding and Configuring the Donation Widget Overview

Make it easier for your audience to support your cause by adding a Donation widget directly to your site pages. WebCommander’s Donation widget allows you to showcase active donation campaigns with tailored visibility, filtering, and content options — all from the visual editor.


How to Drop a Donation Widget on a Page

Step 1: Open the Editor

  • Log in to your WebCommander account.
  • Go to the Editor tab.

Step 2: Select the Page and Section

  • Navigate to the page where you want to display donation campaigns.
  • Click Add Section to bring up the section selector.

Step 3: Insert the Donation Widget

  • Search for Donation in the section options.
  • Click on the Donation widget preview.
  • It will be dropped into the selected section of your page.

Step 4: Save and Publish

  • After positioning, click Save.
  • Click Publish to make the changes visible on your live site.

How to Configure the Donation Widget

After adding the widget, configure its display and filtering from the Donation Settings panel:

Access Settings:

  • Click the dropped Donation widget.
  • Click the Gear Icon (⚙) to open the settings sidebar.

Available Settings:

Setting Description
Show Details Choose how much content to show: Full Content, Excerpt, or Title Only.
No. of Characters Limit how many characters are shown in the content preview (e.g., 160).
Label for Details Link Add a custom label (e.g., “Read More”) for detail page navigation.
Selection Choose which campaigns to display based on sorting logic: Recent Top, Oldest, etc.
Number of Donation Select how many donation campaigns to display using the slider.
Show Category Image Toggle ON to show campaign images.
Show Inspection Date & Time Toggle ON to display inspection or review dates.
Show Pagination Toggle ON to paginate if there are multiple campaigns listed.

Final Steps:

  • Review the live preview within the editor.
  • Click Save to apply widget settings.
  • Publish your page to update the live website.

  • Keep the character limit concise (e.g., 160) to maintain a clean look.
  • Use “Recent Top” in selection to highlight your most active or newest campaigns.
  • Display category images to visually attract attention.
  • Always preview before publishing to ensure everything looks great across devices.
